Our Commitment to Fire Safety
Fire safety is at the core of our business. Because we manufacture all of our own doors, we can ensure that every single component, not only meets the required standards but exceeds them. We invest heavily in research and development to provide you with the safest, most reliable fire door products on the market.
To ensure the safety of all of our fire rated products they are extensively tested and accredited by third-party certification schemes. Every 30-minute fire door (EI30 doors) in our collection is certified by the BM TRADA Q-Mark and/or Certifire scheme. The relevant third-party certifications are indicated on the individual product pages of this website and in our brochure.
WHAT DO REGULATIONS REQUIRE?
Under the technical guidance document Part B, Appendix B mandates strict requirements for complete fire door sets’ correct assembly and permanent identification with due diligence on the components being used. To comply with these regulations, each fire door set must bear crucial details, including the assembler’s name, date of supply, fire door classification number, and fire door rating.
These pieces of information are crucial and serve as a comprehensive record of the fire door’s specifications, ensuring that it meets and preferably exceeds the appropriate fire safety standards and can be relied upon to ensure lives and property are safeguarded in the event of a fire. By adhering to these regulatory guidelines, stakeholders can ensure the utmost fire safety assurance and maintain full compliance with the necessary building regulations.

The Benefits of using Accredited 3rd party certification
All of the leading fire door manufacturers are part of these schemes and are vigorously audited on a ongoing basis
Who benefits from these schemes’ accreditation?
Our clients firstly enjoy knowing where the goods came from and that the testing has taken place, The developers knowing that the goods are from reliable sources and then the Architects can specify with confidence as these schemes are the world leaders and the standards are set high. Fire officers, engineers building managers and landlords and home buyers all can rest assured that the product’s supplied are the same today as what was originally tested day one.
Failure to adhere to standards one will lose the accreditation and be removed from scheme and not be able to advertise the schemes.
The 3rd party schemes ensure that the goods supplied today are of the same standard made by the same people and nothing changes as to what was fully tested day 1, constant auditing and fire testing and updates are constantly happening to ensure the good not only pass but exceed and raise the standards.

HOW DO THESE SCHEMES WORK AND WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THEM
No one ever asks about the door and focus is spent on the install and the look of it, should there be inconsistencies in the manufacturing process the door kit in the event of a fire it will not perform in how it was tested and will fail very quickly.
The 3rd party schemes audit the complete manufacturing and distribution process of the doors and frames.
From auditing the suppliers of the raw material at their factories wherever they are in the world.
Testing consistency of the materials and auditing the suppliers also,
Audit of the purchase of raw material financially and stock checks.
All consumables used in the manufacturing process from raw material to glue, adhesives, veneers, paints and laquears are audited.
Ensuring the materials are the same as the original tested and have not been deviated over time to lower quality to save costs.
Manufacturing process is the same with correct number of glues and consumable and the densities of the materials to be constant from the original testing.
Every product is recorded, and this allows traceability of what was made.
All this takes place over several days multiple times a year.
Sample testing once the goods are made whereby it is subject to further testing and must achieve same results as original.
So who are the auditors. These are employed by CERTIFIRE and BM TRADA Who are independent companies and specialise in Fire Schemes, they write up the report and recommendations if any.
In the event of any failures or deviation from materials used or testing the company is struck from the register and is not allowed to use or promote the schemes until complete retraction of contaminated product from marketplace and full retesting to join scheme again.
If a joiner joins the scheme, he will have a chain of custody and will follow the assembly and fitting of the door kits as tested.
They will mark the doors with a tag showing their name and rating and installation date.
They will be subject to an audit process by a outside 3rd party scheme and not by the manufacturer.

About EN 1634.1
Our first EN Test was conducted in 2012, Since then we have over 150 tests done to date and resulting in 4 FOA (Field of Application Report) Test reports all to EN 1634.1. PAS24 Security and Numerous Acoustic Tests on our doors.
These reports contain all the test results of all fire tests relating to the certificate, these documents can contain up to 200 pages when you have 40 fire tests to draw scope from and allows you to back up evidence on different applications of frames and hardware etc.
Deanta is the only company who can supply these documents and show traceability back to the manufacturing.
We can also supply the shorter version Declaration of performance document, which really is not a complete document and can and cannot show evidence of testing, companies that use these tend to have limited testing and use this as more of a wish list.
As a test EN1634.1 it is far more onerous than the old BS Standard fire test.
We have developed our products to exceed the standards and allow us to achieve Double door glazed doors with over panels and side lights.
And supply doors up to 3m tall and 1.5m widths and in some cases double doors.
We will continue to update our testing for EN30 And EN60/90 Doors and further expand our scope.
Acoustics
Along with PAS 24 secure by Design our doors have comprehensive Acoustic testing and achieved greater than 29DB which is a required minimum value as per part E of the technical Guidance Documents. Deanta has a range of doors that will comply with this requirement. Deanta constantly strives to ensure our fire doors exceed the standards for fire doors in Europe.
EN 1634.3 Smoke Control
Throughout a building smoke will move in the event of a fire the fire doors also need to protect against the movement of smoke in the event of a fire. This is a separate test to a fire test and is certified under EN 1634.3. Doors located in areas such as apartment front entrances, hallways doors, riser doors and stairwell doors usually require smoke control. It is important that the fire doors used in these situations have certification available for fire (EN 1634.1, and smoke control EN 1634.3.)
